The General Services Department has re-issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to purchase a building in the city of Los Alamos to house offices for the New Mexico Environment Department and the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division.
MVD currently operates a field office in leased space at 997 Central Ave., Los Alamos, where it provides motor vehicle services to the public. NMED’s Department of Energy Oversight Bureau staff primarily work out of its Los Alamos office at 1183 Diamond Drive, Suite B.
According to the RFP, the building must be at least 9,000 square feet, close to public transportation, have adequate parking and be within the Los Alamos city limits.
Proposals must be submitted by February 15, 2024 at 3 p.m.
The state intends to select a winning bid on February 18, 2024 and to close on the property by May 1, 2024.
