LIVE IN LOS ALAMOS NEWS RELEASE
Max Gomez will bring his annual holiday show back to the hill on Saturday, Dec. 30. Gomez will be joined this year by recent transplant to New Mexico, Americana stand-out Esther Rose, who is touring in support of her fourth studio album. Gomez will again be joined by his New Mexico bandmates and perhaps an additional friend or two. This is the fifth time the holiday show has been hosted at Fuller Lodge and this one appears headed to a sell out just as the other four have. At press time there were fewer than 50 tickets left available.
Gomez hails from the hills to the north, calling Taos home even though he is currently working in Los Angeles. He received critical acclaim for his debut album Rule the World and his subsequent EP, Me and Joe, which featured “Make it Me,” a tune that gained more than three and a half million listens on Spotify. Gomez also has new material he is eager to roll out to his Los Alamos friends.
Per her website, ”After spending her formative years in Michigan, Esther Rose relocated to New Orleans and got her start in music there while awash in the unparalleled energy of the city’s scene. Over the course of her first three records, an infatuation with traditional country gradually evolved into a more distinctive style and increasingly personal material. Rose’s music traced her changes as she moved through stages, studios, and home addresses, and she eventually left NOLA for New Mexico where the two year writing process for Safe to Run unfolded.”
Laura Crucet and her staff at Pig+Fig will be offering a pre-ordered meal service to be delivered to the venue (see liveinlosalamos.com for instructions) and Bathtub Row will be serving beer and wine when doors open at 6:00 p.m. Lighter snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will also be available. Music will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased with cash or check at Los Alamos Schools Credit union for $35, or online at liveinlosalamos.com for $39.50. If tickets remain at the door the night of the concert they will be $45.
