Jenna Harris, a graduate of Los Alamos High School and current Texas Tech University student, was selected to receive a $2,500 NM State Scholarship Scholarship from the New Mexico P.E.O. Sisterhood. She was recommended by P.E.O. Chapter AK of Los Alamos, NM.
The P.E.O. NM State Scholarship provides scholarships for exceptional women at Junior or Senior level for an academic year at any four-year college. Recipients are selected based on scholastic ability, participation in school and community activities, and potential to succeed.
Jenna Harris attends Texas Tech University where she is pursuing a major in Nutrition on a pre health track. Jenna’s goal is to become a pediatric dentist. She has worked Los Alamos Children’s Dentistry since 2020. Jenna participates in the Pre-Dental Society at Texas Tech University and volunteers in and around the Lubbock community, improving the health of the Lubbock community with “free dental days”. She also participates in the Leadership Institute, and her business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi. In the fall of 2022, as the VP for Heritage Center of Relations for her business fraternity, she took on the challenge of organizing a fundraiser, the first in three years due to COVID. Jenna recently completed her 2023 term as President of Alpha Kappa Psi.
Chapter AK has been a part of the Los Alamos community since it was organized in 1959.
