Local attorney Shay Burns Kendricks spoke recently about estate planning at a meeting of the Rotary Club of Los Alamos. In an informative presentation on November 14, local attorney Shay Burns Kendricks described different aspects of estate planning to an attentive audience of Rotary Club members. Topics included dementia directives, the durable power of attorney for management of property and personal financial affairs, final disposition instructions, list for disposition of personal property, last will and testament, New Mexico transfer on death deed, and revocable or living trust agreements. The topic that generated the most discussion was advance health care directive.
Kendricks reminded Rotarians that “estate planning is unique to you.”
