LACW NEWS RELEASE

The Los Alamos Community Winds is pleased to announce a call for musicians for its annual Holiday Prism Concert which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16 at Crossroads Bible Church.

As many in the community know, this performance is a “concert in the round” where we invite musicians from all backgrounds to join in a celebration of the season. We are looking for soloists and small ensemble (chamber) performances that will be presented throughout the concert in a continuous sequence without intermission. There is also no restriction on the level of player for this event. Student groups as well as any other amateur or professional musicians on any instrumentare welcome to participate.

There is no limit on the type of solo or ensemble with the exception of the following:

1) all music must have a holiday (not necessarily Christmas) or seasonal theme.

2) each soloist or ensemble’s selection(s) must not exceed 7 minutes in total duration.

Deadline for notification of your intent to participate and your repertoire selection(s) is Tuesday, November 14.
