The League of Women Voters’ community event, Lunch with a Leader, will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19 at the Unitarian Church Hall, 1738 North Sage Loop in Los Alamos. Their leader will be Eric Peterson who is the Open Space Specialist for the Los Alamos County Parks, Recreation and Open Space Division.

Then he found employment working for the City of Albuquerque Open Space Division, which led him to his current position working for Los Alamos County as the Open Space Specialist.

Peterson will talk about recent projects, what his position entails, implementation of the Open Space Management Plan (OSMP), trails maintenance by the new contractor, Community Services Director Cory Styron’s plan to consolidate the OSMP with the Trails Management Plan, the Community Trail Plan, an update on the Los Alamos County Trailhead Assessment, what his priorities are currently and ways to volunteer!
