
COUNTY NEWS RELEASE
Los Alamos County administrative offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 9 in observance of Indigenous People’s Day. The county joins other states and local governments to recognize the rich culture and contributions of Native Americans in this area.
While the County’s administrative offices and Environmental Services Division will be closed and the Atomic City Transit fixed bus route services will not operate on Monday (note that Dial A Ride will operate), essential services, such as law enforcement, emergency response, and public safety, will continue as usual. Additionally, the following facilities will be open during holiday hours:
- White Rock and Mesa libraries: Monday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Aquatic Center: Monday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Golf Course: Monday, normal hours.
- Dial a Ride Services from Atomic City Transit : Monday, 6 a.m. – 5:30 p.m
- ACT bus service Route 12 to Bandelier will run normally with a 20-minute service.
