UPDATE AT 5 P.M. – THE ROAD HAS NOW BEEN CLEARED

A traffic accident at approximately 3 p.m. on the Main Hill Road (NM 502) between the White Rock Y (NM 4 intersection) and the Totavi gas station has led to the closure of one eastbound lane, resulting in traffic delays.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department is currently on scene, overseeing the situation and awaiting the arrival of a tow truck to clear the accident site. The closure of one eastbound lane has necessitated a shift in traffic patterns, requiring vehicles to merge into the center lane.

With wet road conditions persisting due to the ongoing rain, drivers are urged to reduce their speed and maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle in front of them.
