Los Alamos Little Theatre Announces Auditions For ‘The Play That Goes Wrong’

Los Alamos Little Theatre announces auditions for its planned January production, The Play That Goes Wrong, by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer & Henry Shields.

Auditions will be held at the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar Street, at 6:30 pm Wednesday, Oct. 4, and  Friday, Oct. 6. Persons auditioning will be asked to engage in dialog and improvisational work based on scenes from the play.

Anyone interested in auditioning is asked to fill out an online form [link here]. If you are unable to make the scheduled audition dates please add that information in the notes field of the audition form and the director will try to make other arrangements with you.

Director Seona Zimmermann said actors cast for the show will be expected to engage in a lot of physical comedy. The play features members of a community theatre trying to hold together a play that during its opening performance seems to go wrong at every turn, as the title of the show suggests. Props, actors, and the set itself rollick along on a collision course with disaster as the troupe gamely tries to soldier on.

Performance dates for The Play That Goes Wrong are Jan. 12 – 27, 2024.
