COUNTY NEWS RELEASE
Los Alamos County’s Community Development Department released its Community Vitality Update for 2023, showcasing progress and initiatives propelling the county toward a thriving, vibrant future. Issued as an insert in the August 10 edition of the Los Alamos Daily Post, the three-panel brochure celebrates accomplishments, projects, programs and initiatives in the areas of housing, local business support, revitalization of the downtowns, tourism and broadband.
Since its initial release, the department has acknowledged the keen eyes of community members who have helped refine the content, leading to a few necessary corrections. The updated version of the report is now available online for easy access and reference. Some corrections included the number of employees at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, the 10-year budget for N3B, the address for the Cañada Bonita apartments and the status of the North Mesa Housing Project.
According to Economic Development Administrator Dan Ungerleider, the brochure underscores the Economic Development Division’s commitment to the community’s growth and quality of life. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who contribute to Los Alamos’ growth and vitality. Together, we are shaping a future full of promise and possibilities.”
