Mesa Public Library welcomes prolific local author Shirley Raye Redmond back to the lower level rotunda on Saturday, September 16 at 3:30 pm for a reading from her latest book Brave Animal Stories for Kids: 50 True Tales That Celebrate God’s Creation. Published in March by Harvest House, Brave Animal Stories is a welcome addition to recent similar work including Courageous and Bold Bible Heroes: 50 True Stories of Daring Men and Women of God and Change the World: 10 Daring Women of God. Redmond will read excerpts from several of her award-winning children’s books. This event is great for kids ages 5-11 but all ages are welcome.
Redmond has been a popular presence on the shelves of the public library for many years. She has published both fiction and non-fiction for emerging and early readers, juvenile non-fiction, young adult fiction, and more. In March of 2023, she marked the milestone of selling a million copies of her 46 published works.
Los Alamos Public Library is pleased to invite Shirley Raye Redmond back to the library. She is part of the roster of popular authors who have read their work at the public library. The library is committed to offering a range of author readings, titles, and events that reflect the varied interests of the community.
