LAHS Class of 1983
The Los Alamos High School Class of 1983, labeled as “outrageous”, began their 40 year reunion on Friday, July 28 with the traditional meet and greet at Ashley Pond Park. On Saturday, July 29, they had their choice of four day activities; a golf tournament, a hike to Canada Bonita, a screening of Oppenheimer and a class trip to Spanish Market at the Santa Fe Plaza.
On Saturday night the class had their reunion dinner at Cottonwood on the Greens. The reunion dinner featured music from the 80’s, a picture show featuring memories from 40 years of reunions and events and a memorial for passed classmates. The evening featured the return of class favorite Mr. B, (Andrew Batemon) who personified the class’s outrageous behavior.
On Sunday, July 30, the classmates said their farewells at Urban Park at their goodbye picnic. The event was extremely successful with 156 people attending featuring 106 Los Alamos Class of 83 classmates.
The event was organized by Alan Brown and Kelly Peterschmidt with assistance from Mike Vikdal, Darryl Brown, Karen Totten, Carrie Apgar and Emily Duensing. Activities were organized by Scott Hayden, Barbara Gonzales, Susanna Marshland and Marie Michnovicz.
