LAPS NEWS RELEASE

More than 3700 students enrolled in Los Alamos Public  Schools headed back to class today for the 2023-2024  school year.

“It was great to see students back at school today, ”  said Supt. Jennifer Guy. “There was a lot of  energy and enthusiasm. It is going to be a positive  productive year.”

Students were greeted by staff at all school sites. This was the launch of a new lunch program that provides free breakfast and lunch for all students. School sites are working on establishing best practices for distribution and ask that students and families have a little patience and understanding during this transition.

Thursday will be a regular day for all elementary,  middle and high school students. Middle and high  school will follow the A day schedule.
