The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) is investigating an incident that occurred at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28.  Officers were called to a truck at the Del Norte Credit Union in White Rock that was being used to tear open into an ATM.  The suspect(s) were able to gain access into the ATM and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect(s) also attempted to gain access into the White Rock Enterprise Bank ATM but were unsuccessful.

After speaking with a security representative from Enterprise Bank in White Rock we believe the suspect(s) did not attempt to break into that specific ATM.  The damage observed was from a previous incident. We do thank White Rock citizens who have called in tips and additional evidence has already been recovered related to the Del Norte Bank ATM crime.  DC Morris

Officers responded to the area and located the truck abandoned in White Rock that was reported as stolen.  LAPD criminal investigations section was called to the scene to collect evidence.

“The Los Alamos Police Department is asking the public and local businesses to contact LAPD if they have additional camera footage of the incident or if they locate any additional potential evidence. Detectives will be meeting with business owners and residents reference this case. Please contact LAPD dispatch at (505) 662-8222 or L.A.
