William “Ike” White, Senior Advisor for the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (EM) will attend Thursday’s morning’s community forum on LANL legacy waste cleanup from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Fuller Lodge. The forum is hosted by the DOE-EM Los Alamos Field Office and its contractor N3B. Attendance by Webex will also be available.
White is a frequent visitor to LANL. He most recently participated in the April 4 town hall in Santa Fe with NNSA Administrator Jill Hruby where both officials fielded questions from the community and heard comments from activist groups and others.
Thursday morning’s event will feature discussions on remediating historical contamination from the Manhattan Project and Cold War.
