PAC 8 NEWS RELEASE
The Summer Film Intensive has just a few spots left for the the July 2023 session. Classes will be held July 5-7, 10-14, and 17-21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this year. Started in 2021, this award-winning 3 week program allows students the rare opportunity to write, produce and perform in their own short films. Experienced faculty will take participants through all of the steps in the process of creating an original short film– screen writing, camera operation, production planning and location shooting, acting for film, videography and editing, drone videography, make-up and numerous other aspects of the film process. Select films will be entered into the third year of the prestigious Film Prize Jr. contest with a chance to win national awards!
The program is a collaboration between the Teen Center, PAC 8, Youth Activity Center, & Fuller Lodge Art Center. It is being made possible by generous donations and a grant from the Delle Foundation. It will take place at PAC 8 Media Center and Los Alamos Teen Center and is open to twelve youth ages 13 – 18. The link to register is here: https://forms.gle/kEStCzcNCRrgQZBC6
