In preparing for Pride Week, the Friends of Los Alamos Pride made outreach to local businesses and invited them to provide messages of support for Pride. Here is the first set of messages we are sharing and we will share more during the coming days.

We support Pride month because it is a celebration of love, diversity, and equality. Pride month reminds us of the importance of standing up against discrimination and advocating for the rights of all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. It is a time to honor the courage and resilience of those who have fought for LGBTQ+ rights and to continue working towards a world where everyone can live their lives authentically and without fear of discrimination or prejudice.

We support Pride month because we believe in equal rights for all people in addition to recognition that the LGBTQ community is still pushing to break down barriers.

I support Pride because I am a firm believer in pluralistic liberal democracy and everyone belongs in our society.
