Adam Anthony Smith went to our Lord on May 18, 2023, at his mother’s home in Los Pachecos, NM.  Adam loved his family dearly.  He will be reunited with his father, Albert Smith; God-Father, Phillip Herrera; very dear cousin, Priscilla Herrera (who was like a sister to him); maternal grandmother whom he loved dearly, Bernardita (Bernie) Herrera; paternal grandmother, Eva Quintana of Las Vegas, NM; aunts and uncles Sally and Robert Armijo, Samuel and Anthony Herrera, and Florence Herrera; Great grandparents, Estefanita and Antonino B. Guillen and Teofila Urzua and Benito Herrera.

He is survived by his wife Audrey, eldest daughter, Aaliyah Chavez-Smith, youngest daughter, Ava Herrera; mother Meachele Smith and mother-in-law Dolores Garduno; grandfather Jose C. Herrera; sister Joy (Eric) Baca; nieces Santana and Isabella Baca, sister Pamela Wright and nephew, Matthew Hagman; brother Gary Smith; God-Mother Becky Lopez; uncles and aunts Benito Herrera, Yvonne Herring (Allen), Elizabeth Madrid (Vickie) (George), Nancy Baros (George), Cathy Trujillo (Victor); and many cousins. 

Adam leaves behind many close relatives and friends who will miss him immensely.  Adam graduated from Los Alamos High School in 2004. Adam is and will continue to be missed and loved by his family. We trust Adam is in our Lord’s hands and will rest in peace.  Honorary Pallbearers: Angela Herrera, Steve Herrera, Randy Herrera, Nelson Herring, Andrew Herrera, Karen Herrera, Kevin Herring, and Samantha Herring.

A Memorial Service was held Wednesday, May 31. Funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, June 2 at St. Anne’s Church in Alcalde with interment to follow at La Villita, NM.
