Community Invited To LAFD Graduation And Retirement Celebration Friday

LAFD NEWS RELEASE

Los Alamos County Fire Department is pleased to announce the graduation of Fire Recruit Academy #31 on Friday May 26, at 10:00 a.m. The Ceremony will take place at the Crossroads Bible Church, located at 97 East Road, Los Alamos, NM 87544. Fire Recruit Academy #31 has completed an intensive training program designed to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to serve and protect our community. Over the past several months, these dedicated recruits have undergone rigorous training in fire suppression techniques, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, and various other essential firefighting disciplines.

The graduation ceremony is a significant milestone in the journey of these recruits as they transition from recruits to firefighters. It is an opportunity to honor their commitment, dedication, and hard work in preparing themselves for the challenges and responsibilities of serving as first responders.

During the ceremony, Training Division Chief Benjamin Stone will be recognized for his leadership, guidance, and dedication to the fire service, as he embarks on a new chapter in life. Chief Stone will retire from the Los Alamos Fire Department on June 2, after more than 20 years of service. As Chief Stone moves to the next chapter of his life, we extend our gratitude for his service and contributions to the Los Alamos Fire Department and the community of Los Alamos.

This event is open to the public. Los Alamos Fire Department extends a warm invitation to all community members, local officials, family, friends, and media representatives to join us for this momentous occasion. We encourage everyone to come and celebrate the achievements of the Fire Recruit Academy #31 graduates as they embark on their fulfilling careers, and to pay tribute to Training Division Chief Ben Stone for his service.
