Los Alamos High School graduating senior Miranda Mo’Nique Lopez is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council and NJROTC. She is a Lieutenant in NJROTC and served as the 2022-2023 Public Affairs Officer for the unit. Miranda is a dual-enrolled student attending the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos obtaining a Certification in Business Management this summer. She is an honors student at LAHS and UNM-LA with a 4.0 GPA.
Miranda also works at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a High School Student who will convert to the Undergraduate Student Program with Program Project Interface Division (PPI-DO) under Program Representation and Transition to Operations Group (PPI-2).
In the fall of 2023, Miranda will attend Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. She is the recipient of the Arizona State University Four-Year New American University President’s Award Scholarship. She will be a part of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and Barrett’s Honors College to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering and Cyber Security.
Miranda is the daughter of Joseph and Bernadette Lopez and the granddaughter of Fred and Annie Garcia with Roto-Rooter of Los Alamos, Joseph Lopez, Angela Baca, Gary and Cheryl Suazo. She is a big sister to her brother D’Angelo. Photo by Ronda Evenhus.
