Los Alamos High School Senior Chantel Bibeault finished out her 8 year gymnastics career with Los Alamos School of Gymnastics this past weekend.  Chantel competed in Denver with 1,200 other Region 3 gymnasts in the Region 3 level Platinum, Diamond and Sapphire Xcel Regional Championships, which is a high level of gymnastics. Chantel competed in the Diamond senior division, placing 4th in the All Around with a 36.00.  She also placed 4th on bars with an 8.85 competing her very difficult “toe on – front flip off” dismount from the high bar for the first time in an out of state competition.  She placed fifth in vault with a half twist on, full twist off – scoring a 9.25 on the event: and fifth on the floor competing her front handspring into layout with a full twist.
