LA CARES NEWS RELEASE
This Saturday, May 13, U.S. Postal Workers, Boy Scouts and other volunteers are working together to support LA Cares, our local food pantry, with a food drive.
How you can help:
1) Put a bag of canned goods by your mailbox before 10 on Saturday morning. (Volunteers or postal workers will pick it up.) If your mailbox is not next to the street, please place your bag on the curb.
2) Shop at either Smith’s between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and give your donations to the Boy Scouts (they will bring it to the sorting location.)
3) Send a donation to LA cares at PO Box 248, Los Alamos, NM 87544, or Paypal at lacaresnm@gmail.com. Cash donations are used to provide fresh food items each month, as well as rent and utility assistance for residents of Los Alamos County.
4) If your bag of canned goods has not been picked up by 3 pm, please contact 505-412-5578.
All donations of food and money stay in Los Alamos County to help those in need. Thank you for your continued support of LA Cares!
