FIRST BORN NEWS RELEASE

The First Born Program has a lot of families who have babies due this summer! We are excited to host a prenatal retreat for first time parents to be. This event will cover information about newborn feeding and sleeping, short demonstrations on infant massage, infant CPR and choking first aid, plus some parent-to-be well being and self care tips. This free event will include healthy snacks and a light lunch.

This retreat is nearly full, but there are a few spots left. If you or someone you know is expecting in the next few months, please join us. To register, email welcome@firstbornla.org and include parent(s) to be name(s), phone numbers and due date.

The First Born Program of Los Alamos is a free and voluntary home visiting program for all families in Los Alamos, prenatal through age 5. The program is relationship‐centered and curriculum‐based. Families who participate receive support, information about pregnancy, early childhood development, health, nutrition and safety and learn fun activities to help build brain development and learning. Through weekly home visits, families identify personal goals, recognize challenges and opportunities for growth and build a healthy, loving, playful relationship with their child.
