At 5 p.m. on Monday (April 24), this juvenile bear was seen drinking from a birdbath in a backyard on Barranca Mesa. When it spotted the residents through the window, it sized them up and then ran off and disappeared back into Bayo Canyon. Photo by Christine Anderson-Cook
