FSN NEWS RELEASE
One of Family Strengths Network’s (FSN) early contributors, Joani Cannon, stopped by for a visit to the organization while in town this week. FSN began in 1989 as a child abuse prevention organization in Los Alamos.
“I just can’t believe it’s come this far. They asked me to come be the historian and to help plan [our opening], and to create the FSN logo,” Cannon said during her visit, admiring her logo that’s still in use.
Today, FSN still holds child abuse prevention close to its heart, but has greatly expanded its offerings and services to families in Los Alamos and surrounding communities. Programs and services include casual and themed playdates, toddler crafts, music classes, STEAM activities, parenting classes, support groups, a toy lending library, a drop-in play space, and more.
Family Strengths Network is located at 3540 Orange Street (behind LAHS), (505) 662-4515. For more information go to https://www.lafsn.org/
Family Strengths Network is a United Way partner.
