SALA To Host World Premiere Of ‘Oppenheimer After Trinity’ April 22

SALA NEWS RELEASE

SALA is excited to announce the World Premiere of “Oppenheimer After Trinity,” a documentary film that delves into the events that occurred after the testing of the world’s first atomic bomb in July of 1945. Produced by award-winning documentary producer Larry L. Sheffield, “Oppenheimer After Trinity” offers a rare and intimate glimpse into the mind of Dr. J Robert Oppenheimer, one of the most important figures in modern history.

“Oppenheimer After Trinity” tells a deeply personal story through the written and spoken words of Dr. Oppenheimer and features rare footage and photographs, along with compelling testimony from Dr. Oppenheimer’s grandson, Charles Oppenheimer. The film addresses events that quickly unfolded and caused a course of action that is still debated today, using declassified military documents and rare interviews to provide a unique insight into a critical moment in human history.

Sheffield’s work on this film has earned it several prestigious awards, including:

  • Finalist, Top Shorts, Los Angeles, CA “Best Documentary Short”
  • Winner, Cannes World Film Festival, Cannes, France, “Best Historical Documentary”
  • Winner, World Film Carnival, Singapore “Best Educational Film”
