Please join Rabbi Jack Shlachter of the Los Alamos Jewish Center this Thursday, Mar. 16 for his monthly Third Thursday “Lunch-time Learn” discussion about the weekly Torah (Hebrew Bible) portion. This month’s discussion will be conducted via Zoom.
From 12 noon -1 p.m., Rabbi Jack will lead us in an exploration of a variety of traditional and contemporary Jewish commentaries as we look at the last section of the Book of Exodus (35:1-40:38) which describes the construction of the portable sanctuary used in the wilderness. The discussion will focus primarily on Exodus 35:31, and our thoughts about the spirit of God.
Additionally, the Jewish Center is starting a social group for Jewish young adults, ages 20s and 30s. The first event will be a Shabbat dinner later this month, hosted in a private home; please contact lajcdinners@gmail.com for details.
Please email Rabbi Jack directly at physicsrabbi@gmail.com if you would like the Zoom link. For more information about the Los Alamos Jewish Center, see www.lajc.org.
