Max Gomez will bring his annual holiday show back to the hill on Friday, Dec. 30. Gomez will be joined this year by New Mexico legend Bill Hearne, as well as a backing band and perhaps one other guest artist. This is the fourth time the holiday show has been hosted at Fuller Lodge and this one appears headed to a sell out just as the other three have. At press time there were fewer than 30 tickets left available. 

Gomez hails from the hills to the north, calling Taos home even though he is currently working in Los Angeles. He received critical acclaim for his debut album Rule the World and his subsequent EP, Me and Joe, which featured the “Make it Me,” a tune that gained over two million listeners on Spotify. 

Bill Hearne and his late wife Bonnie have performed with the likes of Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith, Robert Earle King and a legion of others. Their imprint on the early Austin music scene and then New Mexico’s music culture are the subject of the documentary film New Mexico Rain: The story of Bill and Bonnie Hearne. 

There will be a traditional tamale holiday meal, as well as wine and beer from Bathtub Row available when doors open at 6:30 p.m. Music will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased with cash or check at Los Alamos Schools Credit union for $32, or online at liveinlosalamos.com for $36. If tickets remain at the door the night of the concert they will be $40.
