Former Los Alamos County Councilor Diane Albert Dies In Murder Suicide

Former Los Alamos County Councilor Diane Albert, 65, was found dead Friday afternoon at her Los Ranchos de Albuquerque home, along with her husband, Eric Pinkerton, 63, several dogs and a cat. According to reports from Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, Pinkerton appears to have shot Albert and the pets before killing himself.

“This is believed to be a murder-suicide. A friend of the decedents contacted deputies after receiving a troubling message from Eric Pinkerton. Upon arrival deputies located the decedents inside the residence along with several dead animals. Eric Pinkerton is believed to have shot his wife and several animals in the house before shooting himself,” s BCSO statement said.

Albert was an alternate judge for Los Ranchos and was recently elected Municipal Judge for Los Ranchos . She was a licensed and practicing patent attorney.
