Polls have been open since 7 a.m. in Los Alamos County and will remain open until 7 p.m. this evening.

County Clerk Naomi Maestas reported Monday afternoon that including 900 absentee ballots, some 43.6 percent of registered voters have already cast their vote. She said early in-person voter numbers were higher many days than the 2018 elections.

Result tapes will be posted in the Boards and Commissions Room at the Municipal and outside each voting center. Maestas expects the first results to be available around 7:30 p.m.

“We will simultaneously post the unofficial results to our website: www.losalamosnm.us/clerk. Once results have been emailed and posted to the website, we will post this information to our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts,” she said.

Statewide results will be accessible as well on the New Mexico Secretary of State Election Results portal at: https://electionresults.sos.state.nm.us/Default.aspx?
