LAPS: Rumors Of Threats Monday At Los Alamos Middle School Unfounded

LAPS NEWS RELEASE

Earlier today, Los Alamos Middle School Staff was made aware of  rumors about threats to the school. The LAMS School Resource Officer, along with LAMS administration, promptly investigated and found no credible threat. Classes continued with no interruptions. 

As a reminder, students are encouraged to use the “Say Something” anonymous reporting app to report any unsafe behaviors. The app is installed on all student Chromebooks for easy accessibility.  

In addition, there are several ways to report any public safety issue. Families and students may email  safety concerns to safety@laschools.net. This email is monitored Monday through Friday during school  hours, 8 am to 3:30 pm.

The See Something/Say Something Anonymous Reporting System enables students to anonymously  report an issue 24/7/365 through an app, hotline, or website when they see a classmate who is at risk of  harming themselves or others.
