I took the time to spruce up the graphs that were included in the recent letter Gary Stradling
sent in. I noticed he left out some labels, so I decided to clarify them for readers. This is merely for humor purposes only, I did not actually gather any housing data regarding the moon, black licorice, Tootsie Pops, found workers, nor did I time travel to the year 4134.
In all seriousness, if you do not wish to have your graphs lampooned like this, please make sure that you label your axes with reasonable labels, ensure ALL lines are labeled, and reference your data ON the graphs. Otherwise, your graphs are as useless as my satirical ones, and people will not take them seriously. Your data may be legit, but if your graphs aren’t believable then your data isn’t either. That means that everything you say is questionable as well. Present it well or don’t present it at all.
Also, if you want to know what I was using for my skillful and artful graph rendering, it was the greatest of programs ever written: Paint.
