On Tuesday, the Betty Ehart Senior Center started a COVID Omicron booster and flu clinic with a power outage that lasted 2 hours. Our thanks to the Los Alamos County crew that got us back up and running, just in time to complete meals!
The other heroes of the day were the Best Buy Drugs/RX Innovations team. A computer glitch seemed to double book the 2-3 p.m. hour and things were a blur. They vaccinated them all! The had the 65+ Super Senior shot for all those who needed it!
There are no walk-in appointments for Thursday, and those over 50 who still need an appointment MUST call 505.662.8920, if you can’t or don’t schedule online through www.vaccinenm.org. We will spend ALL day Wednesday returning calls for the White Rock vaccination 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Oct. 13. The clinic does run 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but the LARSO staff can only schedule the morning appointments.
Our deepest gratitude to all of those who were patient and kind, feel free to wear a mask, as we are in close quarters, but only my staff is required to wear them. You must take responsibility for your own health and comfort level. If your most recent vaccine booster wasn’t during September, it is NOT the Omicron and you may get a booster after 2 months.
