YMCA NEWS RELEASE
The Family YMCA’s upcoming basketball season has some exciting news for players! Dr. Bill Nichols from Los Alamos Children’s Dentistry has donated money toward the program that will help purchase150 new basketballs for the youth, new pinnies, cones and coach’s bags for all! The Y would like to thank Dr. Bill!
The Y is also working with Los Alamos Public Schools and has reserved practice space at Aspen, Barranca, Chamisa, and Pinon through November and December. Games will be starting in January and go through February, on Saturday afternoons 1p.m. to 5 p.m. Occasionally Friday nights and Sunday afternoon will be used as backup game days.
Registration is open now until Oct. 16; season runs from Oct. 31 – Feb. 26, 2023.

1st | 2nd Grade 6-7PM
3rd | 4th Grade 7-8PM
5th | 6th Grade 8-9PM
Community members are asked to please consider signing up as a Volunteer Coach or Team Parent when you sign your kid up, registration discounts for assigned Coaches will be offered when rosters are completed. We are looking for head referees, time and score keepers. If you are interested in applying, please fill out this application, and send to carrers@laymca.org now. Interviews will be ongoing until Dec. 16.
