The Republican Party of Los Alamos County invites you to attend the annual Constitution Day Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Cottonwood on the Greens. The Mingle, Cash Bar and Silent Auction will begin at 5:00 p.m. Following dinner, which begins at 6:00 p.m., the winners of the student Constitution Day Essay contest will be announced and presented with their cash awards. Come meet local, state and national candidates.
The keynote speaker is Harry Montoya, GOP Candidate for State Treasurer. He will speak on: “Enough—It’s Time for Change.”
“Like so many in New Mexico, the Democrat Party has let me down for long enough. I am standing up and saying No Mas! The progressive liberal Democrats’ failed policies provide no vision for New Mexicans. We need a new kind of leadership after November,” Montoya says.
Harry Montoya is a life-long New Mexico native, lives with his wife Doris in the Nambe Valley. He holds an MA degree in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University and is widely published in textbooks and academic journals. Harry has traveled with the U.S. Dept. of State and the U.S. Dept. of Commerce in a diplomatic capacity. He served as Santa Fe County Commissioner; New Mexico Representative for the National Association of Counties Board of Directors; Chair of the Labor, Employment & Economic Development Committee; President of the New Mexico School Board Association; and delegate to the National School Board Association Convention. He and Doris have two sons, six grandchildren, and one great grandson. Harry is an active volunteer with the Knights of Columbus and in his church.
