CLASSES

CLASSES

New class schedules are available on my website.

The calendars will greet you on the homepage and class registration is done through the “Classes” tab on the menu bar.

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON OPEN TIME

Please know that I welcome children in my space! I have designed my business with kids in mind.  Art was such an important part of my own childhood and I have spent years working with kids making art as a LAPS employee and volunteer.

At the moment I have left Wednesdays open for drop-in time. Children 4th grade and up are welcome to come in on their own and paint pottery/canvas/clay or try their hand at fused glass. I will assist when and where needed and make sure that they are creating in a safe environment.

I have developed a punch-card program for those who may be interested in frequent visits. This program allows a parent to prepay in increments of $10. Cards will remain onsite, and children will be allowed to choose from a variety of $10 activities.

Punch cards will be good any day of the week, but I have specifically set Wednesdays aside to try out this idea.

I ask that a parent accompany their child to purchase their initial card.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE MINI CAMP

I will be open for art time during parent teacher conferences Sept. 28-30. I have a morning slot for K-3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. all three days and 4-6 p.m. from 1-3 p.m. all three days. Sign up for one or all! We will be doing something different every day

I am very flexible with age and will be more than happy to allow siblings together in whichever time slot works best for your family. These can be registered for through the Classes tab on my website as well.

PAINT YOUR OWN POTTERY NEWS

Pumpkins, witches, and cats are the items of the month. Hurry in and paint them while they are still here!

I will be taking the show on the road again Sept. 26 and hosting a paint night at the Bathtub Row Brewing Coop in Los Alamos at 6 p.m.

PARTIES AND MORE

October is filling up fast with birthday parties, ladies’ nights out, bridal showers, women’s group get togethers, going away parties and more. Contact me if you are looking for a space to host your next event!

HOURS REMINDER

Just a reminder that I am just me…and I have kids who perform. I currently follow the football schedule, closing early when the marching band plays. As the holidays approach I will be increasingly tied up with Nutcracker and band. I try my very best to minimize closures, but it is always a good idea to check my website or social media if you are heading down on a weekend. Any early closures or altered hours will be shared there.

TRICK OR TREAT ON MAINSTREET

I will be participating in Trick or Treat on MainStreet this year. Come say hi!

COMING SOON:

  • another visit from the Jazz Project;
  • a community art mural project; and
  • and for the month of December, I expect to have the classroom transformed into ornament making central station!
