LANL NEWS RELEASE

The Food Depot has honored Los Alamos National Laboratory with its Corporate Lifetime Giving Award for 2022, in recognition of the long-standing generosity of employees and the further support of Laboratory operator Triad.

The Food Depot, Northern New Mexico’s food bank based in Santa Fe, calculates that since 2009 it has received more than $607,700 from the Laboratory, including employee donations, the Employee Giving Campaign match and additional Triad contributions. Employees have also donated hundreds of volunteer hours to the nonprofit, both individually and in groups. Laboratory Staff Director Frances Chadwick accepted the award at an August 4 event at the Food Depot in Santa Fe.

“This award really belongs to all the Laboratory employees who have come together to help our community by donating their time, money or food items over the years,” said Chadwick. “I thank them for their commitment to fighting hunger and food insecurity in Northern New Mexico.”
