SUMMIT NEWS RELEASE
A plant sale will be held by Summit Garden Club on Saturday, September 10, at the United Church of Los Alamos parking lot, 2525 Canyon Road. The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, and will include more than 200 plants, including trees, shrubs, perennials, potted bulbs, and houseplants. Proceeds will go towards a scholarship for an LAHS senior; however, proceeds from the sale of a certain set of daylilies and ajugas will be donated to Friends of Bandelier, which is a non-profit organization supporting activities, programs, research and stewardship at Bandelier National Monument.
Summit Garden Club designed and maintains three garden areas at Bandelier Visitor Center, and, with other organizations and individuals, helps maintain the White Rock Community Garden on State Road 4.
