The Cheshire cat is out of the bag! 420 TeaTime LLC owner Christa Tyler is excited to announce that she will soon be opening a new cannabis retail, edible lounge, and tea shop to serve White Rock and Los Alamos. Located in the former Pig + Fig Café space at 35 Rover Blvd., Suite G, the interior has been fully remodeled to accommodate 420 TeaTime and the sale of cannabis products as well as non-cannabis options of tea and pastries.
“With the legalization of marijuana in New Mexico through the Cannabis Regulation Act of 2021, I am pleased to offer a different concept in cannabis sales to our communities of White Rock and Los Alamos with the addition of an edible lounge and tea shop. 420 TeaTime will be more than a dispensary: it will be an experience,” said Tyler. “Planning began in 2021, licenses have been obtained and we will open the doors at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1 with a ribbon cutting grand opening celebration through the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce.”
Tyler has connected with MJays Canna Kitchen, a licensed edible cannabis producer in Placitas, to offer a variety of strength cookies, brownies, Chex-mix and honey. In addition, Tyler has engaged with Marcel owner of the favorite former Fleur de Lys in Los Alamos and current successful owner of Mille in Santa Fe, to offer customers the option of non-cannabis pastries.
Customers will be able to order a variety of tea blends, coffee, Espresso. De Soi and Lyre’s mocktails will be available soon for tasting parties. You can get your tea or coffee ordered to go; however, tea infused with cannabis must be consumed on the premises. In addition, 420 TeaTime will offer local delivery within a 15-mile radius (radius may expand over time).
Smoking will not be permitted on the premises due to regulatory restrictions.
“My goal is to offer consumers a preferred choice for those seeking relaxation and socialization, or to just unwind and talk about the day with friends,” said Tyler. “We want to offer the consumer an ‘experience’ and the opportunity to not only make purchases to take home, but to have the option to relax and enjoy their edible purchases in our ‘Maad Hatter Lounge’. We understand that first impressions count positively to those that visit for the first time. The company will strive to make everyone feel welcome, meet their needs beyond expectation, and set prices and store hours to entice customers to return and invite referrals.”
Incentives to be offered are: 10% off for veterans; 10% off eniors; and a customer loyalty rewards program. 420 TeaTime will be open 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
