Tickets are still available for the bear month celebration Friday evening at the Los Alamos Nature Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Support the Pajarito Environmental Education Center and the Land of Enchantment Wildlife Foundation by attending Bears, Beers, and Bites 6-8 p.m.
This event will give you the opportunity to learn about black bears and eat like them too, with hors d’ oeuvres inspired by the diet of a bear from Jessica Roberts, Personal Caterer, as well as a talk given by wildlife veterinarian, Dr. Kathleen Ramsay. Each attendee also will receive two drink tickets for beer or wine from Bathtub Row Brewing Co-Op.
This event is zero-waste to focus on reducing waste and making a better environment for our local bears, us, and the planet. Registration is required for Bears, Beers, and Bites, tickets are $30 for PEEC members and $40 for non-members.
