Get ready for the Bear Festival! Join Pajarito Environmental Education Center for a fun day filled with booths, games, and interactive activities dedicated to learning about living with black bears and other area wildlife 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Los Alamos Nature Center.
This free event sponsored by Century Bank will give the community the opportunity to learn about bear safety, wildlife in the area, and managing human-wildlife interactions from local, regional, and state-wide organizations. Plus, there will be crafts, games, food, a scavenger hunt and more!
The parking lot at the Los Alamos Nature Center will be closed to vehicle traffic for this event and the majority of activities will be hosted outdoors. Park across the street at the United Church, walk, or ride a bike to the festival.
