Two All-America Swimmers From LAHS Head To University Of Arizona

Orion Henderson and Kelly Wetteland, Los Alamos High School Class of 2022, were both recently named to the High School All-America swimming team, the only New Mexico swimmers to receive this honor for the 2021-22 school year.

Henderson made All-America in the 500 freestyle and 200 individual medley; Wetteland made All-America in the100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley.

Orion is the son of Kevin and Karen Henderson of Los Alamos. Both parents were intercollegiate swimmers.

Kelly is the daughter of Chris and Jenn Wetteland of Los Alamos. Chris played intercollegiate water polo and Jenn was an intercollegiate gymnast.

Both Wetteland and Henderson head to University of Arizona next week and will represent the Wildcats in NCAA swimming starting in October.
