The Los Alamos Kiwanis first Annual Golf Tournament, held on Friday, July 22 was a big success.  Around 60 golfers came out in the beautiful weather for a fun day of golf.

And what fun they had! The game was a scramble and the golfers had the opportunity to purchase mulligans and bomb balls. There were goodie bags, a build-a-burger lunch, and door prizes. A particular favorite were the bomb balls, which gave the players a one-time opportunity to throw or kick the ball closer to the hole.

Kiwanis would like to thank the participants, the Los Alamos Golf Course, and the Los Alamos Golf Association. A special thanks to our sponsors: Hartway & Breshears, Del Norte Credit Union, Pig + Fig Cafe, TechSource, Blue Window Bistro, Los Alamos Children’s Dentistry, YMCA, Cheryl & Morrie Pongratz, Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation, Los Alamos Landscaping & More, Dr. Arthur Montoya and Los Alamos Public Schools Credit Union. Donations were also received from Yas’ Elevated Jewelry & Gifts, Ruby K’s Bagel Cafe and Village Arts.

Kiwanis is looking forward to creating a tradition and will be sponsoring the tournament again next year.
