The Family YMCA is taking registration for the Junior Roller Derby program that begins on Monday, August 1. The program is open to all youth, ages 9 to 18, at all skill levels and costs $30 per month. Registration paperwork must be completed at the Y, 1450 Iris Street.

Practices will be help from August through October, from 6-8 pm on Mondays, and 4-6 pm on Thursdays at the Los Alamos Skating Rink. From October through March, the program moves indoors and focuses on level 2-3 skaters; outdoor practices for all levels resumes again from April through June of 2023.

The Junior Roller Derby program is categorized as a “Youth Club Sport” and follows COVID Safe Practices. Participants must complete registration paperwork at the Y prior to participating. Scholarships are available for those who need financial assistance thanks to donations to The Family YMCA’s Annual Campaign.
