Los Alamos ScienceFest 2022 has several events scheduled in the community for Thursday, July 14 and Friday, July 15.
THURSDAY, JULY 14
7-8 PM
The Believer: Alien Encounters, Hard Science, and the Passion of John Mack,
Mesa Public Library, *online*
Join for an author talk that is out of this world! The Believer is the weird and chilling true story of Dr. John Mack, an eminent Harvard psychiatrist and Pulitzer Prize–winning biographer who risked his career to investigate the phenomenon of human encounters with aliens. Register HERE.

Suds ‘n Shows: “Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan”
Los Alamos Nature Center Planetarium
Take a cinematic journey with us to “boldly go where no man has gone before” in the Nature Center’s planetarium. This screening of “Star Trek: Wrath of Khan” is a part the Suds & Shows movie and beer series! Enjoy beer and wine from Pajarito Brewpub (cash bar) and bring a picnic before the show to enjoy outside at the Nature Center. The movie starts at 7 PM and the doors will open at 6 PM. Because of limited seating in the planetarium, we encourage you to register and purchase your ticket ($7) in advance!

Los Alamos ScienceFest Discovery Day will take place at Ashley Pond Park on Saturday, July 16 from 10am-3pm, with interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) exhibitors, food, drinks, music, free bouncy houses for the kids, robotics area and more. Those interested in flying their drone should bring it to Discovery Day and participate in the Drone Zone as well. The Los Alamos Farmers Market will also have some vendors available.
