This Friday, Igor & The Red Elvises return to Ashley Pond Park for their 2022 performance in the Los Alamos Summer Concert Series presented by Toyota of Santa Fe. Evolving over the years, Igor’s music has been labeled “Siberian Surf Rock” which contains humorous lyrics and grooves that force his audience to dance. Over the past 20 years, Red Elvises have toured all over the world, bringing the party with their fun and exotic costumes, oversized instruments, and uncanny musical talent. Enterprise Bank & Trust and Los Alamos ScienceFest have teamed up to bring Los Alamos fan favorite, Igor & The Red Elvises, to Ashley Pond Friday, July 15 in celebration of the 2022 Discovery Day the following Saturday, July 16.
Opener for Igor & The Red Elvises will be Los Alamos’ own DK & The Affordables. DK & The Affordables kick out a jiving, jumping variety of roots music that is intended to get you moving and inspire goodwill amongst the people. Gyrating, swinging bodies topped by smiling faces have accompanied many an Affordables show. Couple all of that with twangy guitar, a ripping rhythm section, greasy hair, and some pointy boots and you’ve got yourself a hootenanny of a good time!
