Geimer Is Top Predictor And First Place Finisher In Atomic City Road Runners 5K Race

Paul Geimer was the top predictor at 10 seconds off his predicted time as well as the best finisher in the 5K distance with a time of 18:50 in the weekly pace race out on Barranca Mesa.  Other accurate predictors were:  Adrienne Hetrick with a 12 second differential and also the top female on the 5K course recording a 22:38; Mark Bjorklund at 13 seconds off; Catherine Hensley with a 15 second difference; and Zach Medin recording 17 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course 11 year old Adrian Medin was the first finisher at 8:33 and Jacky Atkins was the best female recording a time of 10:48.

Next week’s race will be held on Tuesday, June 21 at 6:00 PM starting on the West end of the Canyon Rim Trail on Knecht Street behind McDonald’s by Knecht Auto Parts near Smith’s.  1 and 3 mile paved courses will be available.
