Midnight Fire In Potrero Canyon North Of Dixon Burns 500 Acres As Of Friday Evening

Smoke can be seen from Taos, Espanola, Santa Fe and Los Alamos from the Midnight Fire In Potrero Canyon, six miles north of Dixon, that was first reported around 7:45 p.m. Thursday.

As of Friday evening the fire had burned about 500 acres and was zero percent contained. The fire was burning towards the edge of private lands in Potrero Canyon and structure protection was in progress,
