projectY COWORK NEWS RELEASE
This month, projectY cowork Los Alamos is celebrating being in business for 6 years and will host a community anniversary event to commemorate the occasion on Saturday, June 4 from 10am-2pm during Chamberfest. Visitors will be able to tour projectY, get free day passes and see what coworking is all about! projectY cowork will be raffling off a 10-day punchcard during this event.
“projectY cowork is a gem in this community,” says Community Manager Christina McCormick. “Our members here represent a variety of industries, vocations and cultures. It really is a community itself. I want to educate and show Los Alamos what coworking is and how it can help remote workers and small businesses alike.”
projectY cowork opened June 2016 as a flexible workspace for startups, entrepreneurs, remote workers, trailing partners of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) staff and postdocs, foreign nationals and students to come together to work solo – but not alone. Since then, thanks to generous initial founders including the Feynman Center for Innovation at LANL, Los Alamos County, the Regional Development Corporation and local property owner Philip Kunsberger, projectY cowork has since served as an entrepreneurial hub and workspace and hosted hundreds of local and regional events — including Los Alamos Entrepreneurs’ Network meetups, patent workshops and small business marketing sessions, individual business roundtable discussions, networking groups and more.
The coworking space boasts monthly membership plans, a 10-day punchcard, and drop-in passes. Membership includes 24/7 access to the space, sound-proof phone booths, high-speed internet and air-conditioned environment. Members, as well as the public, are able to rent out the space for special events, or the 10-person conference room. Those who simply want a brick-and-mortar mailing address outside of their home office can also utilize projectY cowork.
projectY is also hosting several other upcoming events and initiatives, including monthly Newcomer Mixer events sponsored by Zia Credit Union.
