KIWANIS NEWS RELEASE

The Los Alamos Kiwanis Club has established a forest fire relief fund to assist those who are being affected by the massive New Mexico wildfires.

This is in response to a challenge from President Stephanie Whittecar of the Kiwanis Club of Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Their organization announced that they would be donating $1000 to the Las Vegas Sunrise Kiwanis Club and has challenged all clubs in the Southwest District to meet or exceed their donation.

The Los Alamos club has collected over $3000 in donations, which will be sent to the Kiwanis clubs of Las Vegas, New Mexico who are coordinating their distribution.
